ABOUT

As a Concordia University broadcast Journalism and Computation Arts student, I’ve been expanding my portfolio by delving into the different realms of journalism and digital media.  In addition to school work, I’ve enjoyed my last two years as Online Editor for The Concordian which has allowed me to write for a variety of different sections including Music and Life and Opinions.

My studies in Computation Arts and work with online media, art programming and interactive projects has complimented my studies in journalism, allowing me to have a more imaginative outlook when it comes to thinking about how to engage the reader.

Additionally, I have been a teaching assistant in Concordia’s journalism department for three semesters in various classes: Computer-assisted reporting, Intro to Audio/Visual journalism and a lab technician for undergrad and graduate students in the audio/visual classes.  I’ve also written for Concordia’s CJLO radio news show.  I specialize in online media such as social media (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn), programs including Adobe Creative Suite, HTML coding and video/audio editing.
